Well for those of you out there that actually know me .....you will understand the title of this post. Never ....ever would I have thought I would one day be using this. After checking out some of the indents and channels that are now part of my skull I have decided it is time to help myself out some. Bloggers meet Troxel a lot of you are already familiar with this device. This is a Cheyenne(Western) Helmet....honestly I couldn't tell you the difference...it has leather on it....maybe the English ones don't? It also has a bit of bling ...had I known that I probably would have taken something else.....but hey what the heck it might not be a bad idea to look a little girly ....cause boy I''ll tell ya ....it looks goofy......I don't know that I will ever make it out of the arena with it but that's where I worry the most about getting dumped because that's where I push the horses the most to do things they don't want to. There are no guarantees out there and a helmet is not necessarily always going to save you either but I am starting to think it might help and that's a good enough reason for me.

Hey, where'd you get it? I want one, bling and all!
Yeah, calling it "western" is really stretching it! However, if it saves your head, call it whatever you want.
We have western and english helmets. The only difference that I can tell is in the leather and the color. They fit the same (and protect the same).
Shirley I got it Appaloosa Springs, she has a bunch in there, some I didn't care for the fit but this one seems not bad. I'm just on my way out to try it with Skook, I'll let you know how it feels.
Great idea, A lot of die hards are thinking a helmet is a good plan, me included.I like the look of that one . And Now I heare it came from Appaloosas Springs , almost seems like its meant o be!
Hey Sherry it's got your name all over it.I just tried it out, I wasn't doing anything exciting or speedy but it is a nice fit ...I think it is...it doesn't move around and it's not forward heavy if that makes sense. I tried one on... and it made me laugh it had me leaning forward. I told the woman that owns the store that I just couldn't imagine trying to sit a horse with that helmet weighing you down.
Yay!!! Youre not wearing it for just yourself - youre also wearing it for your family !
Every time every ride keeps you alive :)!
I actually rather like it...and I love the idea that it stands for...LIFE!
