I was thinking this challenge was going to be a cake walk.....not...as it turns out at least in my case it requires ...first birds and then a certain amount of skill and decent equipment.....well three strikes and yup I'm out. I was so excited last Sunday I had my first Robin sighting and then to see this weeks challenge. I could just burst with joy ...Spring is coming the birds are singing all around me...could it get any better, well of course it could. I can hear Robins and see them flying away but do you think I can get a picture....not a chance this was the best I could do...they are mocking me it is quite frustrating. I have been chasing this one around for quite awhile and finally had to call it a day.I did a lot of stalking....I think I'm not very good at it. I will keep trying and hopefully get something better..and will do another post at another time.I'm kinda stalked out.
This is a Bald Eagle but as you can see he got pretty far away before I could get a shot.
So after giving up on the garbage pics.....I went where I knew I could at least get a real picture of a bird....where did I go ...to the resident Pigeon of course...and no stalking involved.
Well that's it for me sorry for the weak effort...I take that back I put a lot of effort into it but with poor results...believe me it wasn't for lack of trying.I will check you all out later.
Have A Great Week

Rurl pigeons! For some reason I only think of thes guys as city birds. Nice capture.:)
This one moved in last Summer it is quite different than a lot of other Pigeons around the area, thaey are mostly blackish in color...quite unattractive actually.
Pidgies in the country? I'd like to see an eagle, even at a distance..:-)
I love the first pigeon photo- it made me smile- hello birdie! I was hoping you'd get some of him. The flying one is pretty cool too.
We have a pigeon population here too! They are beautiful, but very messy when they get into a barn.
I'm back. Just checked your recent posts! Boy, have you had some weather. Hopefully all that is coming to an end so you can do all those gardening things.
Not a weak effort at all I love the photos!
Lori you are right, I'm glad we only have one because it makes a huge mess.
We have a resident population of messy pigeons too. It would have been hard for me this week too....crows and sparrows and a long ways off.
I like your pet pigeon you got some good shots of him/her
Funny you have a light pigeon, we have a bunch of dark ones and one light one too.
