Sunday Challenge " Holiday Lights and Decorations.

Sorry guys I'm not really into this one. I didn't get a chance to go hunting for nice lights and what not, then I thought maybe I would go get some shots of the overwhelmingly ugly displays of garishness that seem to abound this year. I have decided to just go with some of my ornaments and my tree. This year I went with a color theme, I say I'm going to do that every year but something clicks and I go with everything I've got and then some. I managed to stick to my red, white and silver theme. you may see a little flash of gold here and there but mostly it is what I planned. It looks a little sparse but I guess that kind of goes with my Christmas spirit this year.So these are some of the ornaments I enjoy putting on the tree. It was tough to stick to the color because some of my oldest and dearest orn. are not the right color so in the boxes they stayed. Next year I'm going back to it all goes on the tree......much more fun that way.

At the start of the trimming. I won't even show you how this show gets going. I know Dave is always happy to be absent for the tree trimming especially the lights. Now that we have a smaller tree I am quite able to do it myself.

Well fellow bloggers that is it for me. As much as my post is lacking I really do look forward to seeing all of your efforts. Have a really nice Sunday.

Your tree looks lovely as usual! I went with red and gold, and also went with less is more. I only used about a quarter of my decorations.

I like the pinecone with the hat. Your tree looks very nice. Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas - that should help get you in the spirit :-)

Oh no! The first photo of the bear reflects your your ho hum holiday spirit. Poor thing!

Hugs for him and for you. Your tree is beautiful and very tasteful. I'm like you, though, and having my favorite ornaments up to enjoy is more important to me than a color scheme.

Your photos are wonderful. :)

I am so envious of your home, though. I wasn't aware you lived in a log home. I've always wanted to have a log home of my own. And if it's not a ranch style, then a A-frame would do just nicely. Lots of windows to let in all the light and forest and mountain views.

You are so blessed!

Happy Holidays to you!

I enjoyed seeing the evolution of your tree.
I don't even bother with one, so always like to see everyone else's decorations.
