Sunday Challenge " Trees"

Well this one was definitely a challenge. The trees around here are pretty dreadful right now. With all the new snow we got I wasn't leaving the property to get any photos so......boring.....

These are the neighbors Willow trees, you can just see the different color up there surrounded by Evergreens. I can't figure out why they live there and do so well. That piece of land is bone dry and barren except for the occasional weed...go figure....maybe he has an underground water source to them?
Tex's favorite place..he is almost always in this spot.
Well that's all I could come up with, hope you all had better luck.
I took these last few photos ( this morning on my way out to do chores) after I had already posted. They seem so much more interesting with a bit of color in them...so I decided to add them....it's not a lot better but anything is better than all that gray.

No color in this one but it does explain why all the trees are barkless.

Beautiful "Snowy" photos. There's nothing like a fresh, pristine snowfall for good photo-op! Love the trees, and that horse too!

Looks like here, except my horses can't get into the trees. Nice shot of the spruce tree, but my favorite is the one of Tex in his snuggy spot.

Very pretty, I really like the one of the top of the spruce tree with the cones.

Looks like you've got some winter too. I like the first and third......with the blue tint to them.

I enjoyed these very much. Snow may be old news for you but its a novelty for me. I especially love that fourth one.

I like these , it looks like your home is nestled into a nice little forest, and Tex in his cosy spot, perfect

Hey, you added more! Nice to see that blue sky!
Would that be Jazz happily munching away?

"Dreadful" is hardly the case -- bare trees against the sky or covered with snow is special. Your top image is especially nice -- it is well composed and framed just right. One can almost 'hear the quiet' in this scene. No need to have left the property as you caught the beauty right there. Brava!

The snow on the trees is just gorgeous - I've never seen anything like that in person before! Beautiful!

I love snow on evergreens, looks so pretty, specially when they still have the pinecones on.
