This week is a good one, I like old barns, there are a few right around home but the sun was shining it was so nice I loaded up the dogs and went for a tour to see what we could find. I knew there were some not to far away and so this is what I came up with. This one is right across the highway from us.
This one is about a 1/2 Mile up the road.
I thought I would start the next pics with this. If these guys don't do something with this barn soon ....they will be the No Barn Ranch. This barn has been declining slowly but surely over the years. It is quite old.... it will be a shame if it falls down.
Well guys that's it for me.....I'm sorry if I bored you with my barns...I went just a little barn crazy. Anyhow I'm outta here. I will be checking you all out. I'm thinking there is going to be some cool barn shots out there.
Have A Great Week

OMG the Old Barn Ranch barn looks like a puff of wind could blow it over. Great pics, the snow really sets off the barns.
PS Not barn crazy at all!! Quite normal, as far as I'm concerned!
Certainly not boring...all of us participating love barns! You are right a few more years of prevailing winds and the top of that one is gonna be gone. Your photos are amazing!
The Old Barn Ranch - Barn makes me shake my head in wonder....it looks like it is just hanging in there. We have had a couple of huge wind storms in the last few years uprooted trees all over the place ...an actual path of uprooted ( big) trees on the way to this barn....and there it still sits amazing!!!
They knew how to build back in the day! I like the second last photo with the rust streaks that match the color of the wood.
Love old barns!! I love the second one, with such a steep roof, boy that would not be fun to have put on!
those are the kind of barns you see typically in WI - ones with Hay mows! In SE MT here, we mostly see low storage barns, or machine sheds - most if not all hay is in big bales stored outside... but then we arent known for water here either ;)
Love your photography - you should be posting more often girlfriend with those photos of yours!
You really have some great barns in your neighborhood. And the Old Barn Ranch....I really hope you don't have much wind any time soon.
Those first I'd like to own. Imagine the stories they could tell.
Janice - Thanks for the vote of confidence.
Linda - I'll bet there would be some dandies.
Crystal - I'm thinking they built it so steep because of the large amount of snow we get here.See the flare out at the bottom though, betcha that keeps the snow from falling right beside the barn....good idea if that's why they built it that way.I wouldn't have wanted to be the builder.
Love the photo's It'll be such a shame when the 'old barn' comes down!
Great shots, those are some classic barn designs..:-)
Fantastic photos! Lucky you to be around these old barns!
Boring? Hardly. You did an awesome job on the challenge, love 'em all!
Great shots! I love old barns , there are such histories with each I am sure
These are all great photos! We have several "leaning into the wind" barns in our area too. You did a wonderful job with these!
As usual, you met the challenge well.
Great shots of beautiful structures.
