I had some unwanted visitors to the Greenhouse. The deer went right into the Greenhouse and started mowing stuff down, what they didn't like they just pulled from pots and threw on the floor. I have closed off the doors so they can't go in but they can still chow down on the stuff along the sides. Did I say yet how much I dislike deer.....well that's not quite true I dislike them when they hang around our place. I will have to do a post sometime on the strange deer around here you will know what I mean if I can capture it on film. Anyhow sorry Shirley now they have to start over.

Oh well, maybe the "pruning" will give them more places to bloom from!
Hey, those little peach trees you helped prune are loaded with blossom buds!
Wahoo I want a peice of Peach cobbler or something this summer.
Such lovely and yet destructive critters !The roses will be lovely ,when they do bloom. Peach tree in your yard Shirley? I am moving in with you !

Throw moth balls around the greenhouse that will keep them any other critters away.
ps I need to e-mail you regarding horse hair stuff I just finished my last commission this month so I can start on yours. I need to know how much you want and of what.
Not much works to discourage deer..the best thing I ever found was a product called Liquid Fence..or a deer rifle. I hate it when they pull the stuff out of the pots and just leave it lay...very destructive..the roses will be okay..they will just get fuller! :)
Looks like those poor roses could use that bright yellow police tape around them showing their was illegal activity going on. Yikes! I had no idea deer could be so destructive. But they're not dead and your pruning will probably make them grow bigger and have even more blooms.

Lisa you crack me up. Yes the Roses will get bigger and fuller but man it's still annoying because they were so close to blooming. I really like these particular Roses and was so looking forward to the first blooms of the year.I will do a post on the Deer in our area, they are something else.
I can just picture deer in black picking the locks and stealthly infiltrating the greenhouse looking for goodies..:-)
