A Touch Of Melancholy

Well I guess it's just that time of year for me....and many others as well. I am so not a winter person, I don't ski ( or any other snow sports) I don't snowmobile or any of that kind of stuff, I live almost at the bottom of the ski hill...a little ironic....oh well we won't go there. This morning when I went to do chores.

One of the things I do like about winter and snow,  is watching the animals and all their silly antics.
No matter how depressing I find this season the animals around here are able to make me smile at least a couple of times a day.
 By the time I finished chores we were back to this.........heavy sigh.....Ok I know it is pretty early to be whining already.....I will try very hard not to be to much of a downer this winter.

Your place looks like our place today! You could have taken a little more snow so that we wouldn't have had so much. :-}

I hear you on the depressing side of winter. You sure got some great photos- I laughed out loud at the one of Kali with her snow face. Those beady staring eyes!

Not ready for that stuff. Well, I guess the machinery is ready, but I'm not looking forward to it. Last winter was very hard here. It's nice to see that your horses enjoy it.

I sure dont like it when it gets so cold, I could live in a summer place all year long, but the Hubby likes winter so I guess we are stuck here for a while.

As I saw the snow coming here today ,it rmeinded me of all the bloggers we know who don't see sno saying it is beautiful. and that old song lyric "She ain't pretty she just looks that way " ran through my head. That line kinda describes Alberta (or at least my part)in winterand probably your area as well! The animals look wonderful!
