Sunday Challenge " Textures"

Well guys here we are Sunday again, I can't believe how fast this week went by. Well this weeks challenge is Texture, I kind of cheated, a few new and some from last years Tex challenge. I just plain ran out of time and so this is my effort for today.

I don't know how well you can see the pillow in the first shot but I got that at our Kootenay Backcountry Xmas party, it was a donation to the Silent Auction contributed by Shirley over at Ride a Good Horse. You can't see it but it is made with a kind of rough material....almost like a raised texture....can you tell from my terminology that I am not a seamstress however Shirley is quite accomlished.
This is a gift from my mother, she said it was a rug.....not I would never put this on the floor to get all dirty. I am still trying to get it as a wall hanging. Never one to miss an opportunity to put Sage in the limelight, doesn't she show the texture of the rock nicely. This is a shot of our front porch, I thought the different angles made a nice contirbution to this challenge.....oh my look at all that green .......lovingly, longingly, trust me we are nowhere near that yet....not even close :( Last but not least our kind of conversation piece, for those of you that may not have seen it before this is our front door. Well I am late for chores so that is it. I look forward to coming back in and sitting down with a cup of coffee and spending some time with you guys. Later. Have a great day.

The material on the pillow is tapestry:0)
I can convert your rug into a wall hanging; bring it over when you come for your teacup! :0)

So, who won the contest -or when does it close?

love the textures of the rock! I would have a hard time putting the carpet on the floor too! And I absolutely love the wood ceiling!!!

Obviously your front door is amazing and really shows quite a variety of textures. But I thought Sage was laying on a log not a rock! The colors are very much like a fallen tree that has started to decay...it's beautiful.

And, yes...I think most of us enjoyed your summer shots!!! But I see the snow out the window of the first photo!

Sage looks so pretty on that rock. Soft and fluffy on hard and rough. Great contrast!
I have a thing for unique doors, especially antique and veryold doors, but your takes the prize! I love the texture, the design and the creativity. Did you design that yourself? Amazing!
I just love your house, too. I've always had a fantasy of living in a log cabin. Lucky you! :)
