It Is Official

So this is what it looked like on Tues. Morning. Dave went into town before he left for his out of town job and paid for tires so all I had to do was go get them put on.....good timing because even though the snow was gone before the day was over... the following pics show what is happening on this day.

So this dreary picture is what our place looked like this morning. Everyone says it will melt and warm up, I'm not buying it. Yes it may melt but it is not going to stay gone for long. It is official, winter is here. We don't seem to get actual season's anymore they just kind of pile on top of each other without much distinction.
Poor plants I just watered and dead headed them on Mon. Now they will be coming down.....now there is no doubt as to what is coming. I'm already depressed and we have a l..o..n..g... way to go.
This was the oh so weak attempt at a sunrise. I hope to see much more impressive ones than that this winter.
The wood shed is now full of snow but that's ok it will be pulled out of there and used before it ever really gets wet.
Mikey wasn't all that impressed with having to walk across a large expanse of snow to get to his warm kitty bed on the porch, which really doesn't look all that warm .....what with all the snow that blew across the deck.

I'm not sure if you can see the expression on Sage's face (but you can see the body language) it looks exactly how I feel, I am so not a winter person.......it is the beginning of long wet ho hum days. Tex didn't mind the snow he knows his breakfast is on the way and that it will be nice and warm.(he gets a mash because he's old and he loves it)
Well that's it for me and my gray day.....or should I say white.......heavy sigh!!!! Well fellow bloggers I hope you all have a wonderful day and no matter where you are snow stay away.

Great photos, Janice! Love all the tracks in the snow on the porch. The kitty pic is purrfect, should be on a Christmas card! We only got a hint of snow, the wind was howling through here in the wee hours, and anything that it brought is now gone.

I am so not a winter person either..and it is headed our way. The old timers say that the fourth snow is the one that stays.. It does make for some great photographs! :)

All that snow makes me homesick.

Brrr! I keep having a weird feeling that this winter is going to be a real doozy. I hope I'm wrong!
Your kitty looks rather Zen-like actually. Such a pretty picture, too.

Stay warm and dry, and like your Tex, make yourself up some warm oatmeal mash for yourself.

I think you are right about winter Lisa, I think it is going to be a strange one.
