Double Take

I stopped to pick up my mail today and did a double take. There is a house..... in New Or....just kidding ,there is a house very near our mail box I guess by city standards you could say it's a block- block and a half from our house, or in simpler terms it's the next road over. At any rate as I was driving by the house just before the mailbox there was this beautiful Buck standing in the yard, at first I thought it was one of those cheesy fake things people are so fond of putting in their yards.

When I got closer I could see how big and beautiful .....and real he really was. After I did a double take I drove on down to the mailbox and parked the car. When I was walking back to grab the photo op a lady stepped out of the house and proceeded to throw something at the Buck, I thought it was an attempt to chase him away but uh huh ....she was throwing food to him. I couldn't believe how tame he is, she did this a few more times and he just kept getting closer. A fellow traveller saw me taking pics and stopped to chat about the Buck he was mad at himself for not having his camera. While I was snapping happily away another smaller Buck came from behind a building.......did I already say talk about double take. The woman feeding the Buck says she gets half a dozen stopping by for a free meal.

These guys were so photogenic that the guy who didn't have his camera went home to get it. He should have done what I did and parked by the mail box cause all he got was the backside of the pair leaving.
